Associate

Emily joined the firm as part of the litigation department and works in a variety of the firm’s practice groups. Her specialties include complex litigation and constitutional law. She is originally from Valdosta and graduated from Valdosta High School.

Emily attended Oglethorpe University in Atlanta on a full scholarship. At Oglethorpe, she was named a James Edward Oglethorpe Scholar and was selected for an internship with Governor Perdue. After graduating cum laude, she went on to attend the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University on the Mercer Lawyer Scholarship where she was selected to be an editor on Mercer’s Moot Court Board. At Mercer, she graduated cum laude and was awarded the Ruth T. West Award for Leadership and Advocacy.

Emily has been awarded two national titles for her advocacy skills: Best Oralist at the 2010 Charleston National Constitutional Law Competition and Top 5 Oralist at Emory University's 2009 National Civil Rights Competition.

In her free time, Emily serves on the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce's Government Affairs Council as Vice-Chair for Health Care and on MetroOne Young Professionals’ Advocacy Committee. She is this year's Attorney Coach for Valwood School's Mock Trial Team.

Emily is admitted to practice in Georgia’s Superior and State Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of Georgia, the United States District Court, Middle District of Georgia, and the United States District Court, Northern District of Georgia.
