Gregory Q. Clark is an associate in the following practice groups: Affordable Housing; Commercial Real Estate; Commercial Transactions; Mergers and Acquisitions; and Private Equity.
Greg concentrates his practice on Affordable Housing, representing owners, developers and contractors through every step of the affordable housing development process; including: application, design and development, property acquisition, equity and debt financing, construction/rehabilitation completion, and operation.
Greg’s practice includes structuring and closing transactions financed with Federal and State Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC); conventional financing sources; HOME Investment Partnership Program funds; USDA Rural Development sources, including Section 515 loans and Multi-Family Housing Revitalization Demonstration Program (MPR) funds; Tax Credit Assistance Program (TCAP) funds, Section 1602 Tax Credit Exchange funds, and various other federal and state subsidized financing sources.
Greg represents business clients in every aspect of the planning and formation process as well as the various real estate and commercial transactions of our clients’ operating businesses. He also has experience representing individuals, trusts and partnerships in conservation and land planning using Georgia Conservation Tax Credits and Federal Income Tax Deductions.
Greg is a native of Valdosta, Georgia. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree (cum laude) in Economics from Valdosta State University. Greg earned his Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and Juris Doctor (J.D.) degrees from Stetson University College of Law.
Greg has presented to various groups of local business owners and prospective entrepreneurs on the fundamental legal concepts of staring and operating a small business. Greg also serves as a Professional Consultant with the Valdosta-Lowndes County Chamber of Commerce, where he consults with prospective business owners on the various legal concerns of starting a new business.
Currently, Greg is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the State Bar of Florida, the American Bar Association, and the Valdosta Bar Association. He is also a member of VSU SIFE's Business Advisory Board and the Georgia Affordable Housing Coalition. Greg is the past secretary of the Valdosta Bar Association.
