Keith A. Jernigan joined the Atlanta office of the firm in 2007. He is a partner practicing in the areas of commercial lending, commercial real estate development, corporate law and master planned community development. He represents developers, lending institutions and asset managers in the acquisition, disposition, leasing, financing and development of both residential and commercial real estate developments. Keith also represents financial institutions in the closing of various commercial loans secured by both real estate and other secured assets.
Keith assists his clients with the workout of problem loans, the formation of various business entities, compliance with the Federal Interstate Land Sales Full Disclosure Act, and the preparation of declarations and easements required to establish and operate subdivisions and condominiums.
A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Keith earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, cum laude, from Vanderbilt University in 1994. He earned his Juris Doctor (JD) degree, cum laude, in 1999 from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he was a member of the Georgia Law Review. Prior to attending law school, he served as a loan and marketing officer with Wachovia Bank. Keith is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Urban Land Institute.
